The aim of introducing the book Dravyaguna Vigyan volume 1 is confined to cover the syllabus of Dravyaguna subject of B.A.M.S. Degree examinations as proposed by Central Council of Indian Medicine.
Some exclusive modern topics like pharmacology was introduced in this volume, because the allocation of 30 marks in Paper 1, Part b. The available books on Dravyaguna subject are not included few topics as well Modern pharmacology, in this work I tried my level best to give a brief knowledge of dravyaguna basics and modern pharmacology with a very simple English, so that readers can understand well.
This work is of very unique of its kind, in this work we collected relevant references from samhitas and explained in a very simple language, especially the chapter Karma vijnanam was delineated in a brief manner to understand the mode of action in an ayurvedic perspective.
